Lady - Styx

when i was younger i never liked "sappy" songs...i suppose i was/am a "lone wolf" so i pushed people away alot...
when i got older and into romantic relationships i was quite selfless in love and yet never really learned to "be loved" in return...
now i'm hopefully figuring that out....it's a wonderful feeling to be loved! and to love in return...
i'm feeling a little infatuated at present, so here's a song i heard this morning on the radio that i've not heard since middle school ...... it brings back memories of a child who just loved to be lost in her own thoughts and dreaming of ideal love....i suppose i'm not too different today, except i'm sharing these thoughts with you

Lady - Styx

Lady, when you're with me I'm smiling
Give me all your love

Your hands build me up when I'm sinking
Just Touch me and my troubles all fade
Lady, from the moment I saw you
Standing all alone
You gave all the love that I needed
So shy, like a child who has grown

You're my lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my lady

Lady, turns me on when I'm lonely
Show me all your charm
Evenings when she lays down beside me
Just take me gently into your arms

Your my Lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my lady

Lady of the morning
Love shines in your eyes
Sparkling, clear, and lovely
You're my ... lady

Notes

Styx formed in 1972 in Chicago. They had formed as a trio at Chicago State University in 1969, known as "TW4." The original band was completed when they added two more members in 1970. Styx was a local favorite for a couple of years before becoming popular nationwide. They took their name from the mythological river of the dead, Styx.
"Lady" first appeared on their second album, "Styx II." "Lady" was the most requested song on the WLS Chicago radio station in 1973.
In 1974 "Lady" entered the Billboard Top 40 and peaked at #6.
